Mobile Food Pantry – The Lake Como Community has a mobile food pantry drive-up events each 3rd Friday that offers nutritious groceries (food distributed varies depending on available stock) to families.

Citizens On Patrol (Code Blue)Lake Como’s first citizens on patrol was in 1982. This group are the eyes and the ears for the community. They work closely with the City Code Enforcement and the Fort Worth Police Department. Ten on TuesdayThe Lake Como Community encourages residents to pick up 10 pieces of litter up each Tuesday. No piece is too big or too small!
Litter StompThe Neighborhood Litter Stomp is a citywide volunteer litter cleanup hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful every fall. We encourage residents and businesses to focus on beautifying their surrounding community. 
Mobile Food Pantry – The Lake Como Community does a monthly drive-thru food distribution the 3rd Friday of every month.  This community hosted event is in its eighth year, thanks to the support of the Tarrant Area Food Bank, community non-profits, Como Lion’s Heart, Opending Doors for Women In Need, and especially our community chuches. Families can expect to received generous helpings of nutritious. 
Annual July 4th ParadeVolunteers for this effort will expense more time and energy on this event more than any other in the community.Since 1950 when the idea came to fruition from the late W. H. Wilburn this event has taken place without fail. The LCPC (Lake Como Planning Committee) volunteers work tirelessly to keep the July 4th Parade Day going.  This Parade boasts one of the oldest predominantly African American parades still in existence. The parade include dignitaries, City and State officials, city services (Police & Fire), Community Leaders, Churches and Organizations, community schools, horse clubs, car clubs, bike clubs, sororities and fraternities and so much more; there is always a host of business and other organizations from through the metroplex that take part.  
Como Community Center – After-School Programs and Summer Camps. Caperones, storytelling, games, coaches, tutors, food service. (confirm this one with Clara Kirby)
Lake Como Cemetery Men’s Lawncare and Maintenance Task Force this group of volunteers provides perpetual lawn services for the State of Texas Historic Designated Lake Como Cemetery. 
Lake Como Cemetery Women’s Beautification and Hospitality Auxiliary – Community volunteers provide flowers and flags during the holiday recognitions and plan the hospitality for cemetery special events such as the Fall 2021 Historic Marker Dedication Ceremony for the State of Texas Historic Designated Lake Como Cemetery.
