Community Center

Como Community Center was built in 1970 -71 with Community Development Block Grant Funds. It was built because a number of citizens from the Como Community and other minority communities petitioned the City for needed services. These centers were placed in what was considered Target Areas of the city.

Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (Lake Como IMA) is a non-profit religious, para-church organization that is comprised of Pastors and Ministers of the Lake Como Community.

Lake Como Neighborhood Watch

The Neighborhood Watch is a partnership between the Lake Como Community and the Fort Worth Police Department. Our purpose is to help people protect themselves and their property, and to reduce the fear of crime.

The Corporation is dedicated to using its resources exclusively for charitable and educational purposes related to the development and rehabilitation of high quality, decent and safe housing

Community Action Partners

Individuals facing poverty, the unemployed, and those that are struggling can get help from the non-profit City of Fort Worth Community Action Partners. This is a leading organization that provides services across Tarrant County. Programs provided range from food, rent help to energy bill assistance and self-sufficiency. The goal of the organization and its case managers are to help residents deal with a crisis but more importantly to help them overcome their challenges and exit poverty.
